I played FreeCell myself for a long while (I am a fan :) ) but I've never had anything like that happening to me. I can see how frustrating it is. I wonder, if you press ctrl+alt+del to get to the task manager and then go to the process list and kill the freecell process from there, will it consider the game as left/lost? I think not. At least this would help you with the statistics problem. It must be the “God’s way” version.
