Cup O’ Joe to Sew–Completed.

Finally.

Started this in August for a contest. Got the top done in a weekend, as the contest required, but the quilting took much, much longer. Didn’t help that I kept getting side-tracked to other projects.

This is one of the quilt patterns I’ve actually sold in our Ebay store. You can find it here.

I’ve donated the quilt to a charity event to be held this Saturday. It’ll be auctioned off to help raise money for a very sick little girl.

Here are some of the quilting details I put in. They were fun, but a bit time-consuming, especially those pinwheel blocks.

It looks great. Would that be the CQOA weekend contest? I made a quilt, although didn’t get it quilted.

It looks great, and I love your quilting details.

CQOA? No, it was for The Quilter magazine…I think. I cut out the pieces watching opening ceremonies for the Olympics :)

I love the off-center medallion look, I see that you’ve got a number of those in your eBay store.

Thanks! My first off-center design was Acres of Diamonds (which should be up in the store), and that came about as a mistake (I ran out of fabric). But since then I’ve decided I really prefer the off-center look. It’s not a common one from what I can see of other quilt patterns.
Glad you liked it, and thanks for stopping by! :)

Hey, Nessili!!

It was so great to hear from you. I feel bad that we’ve lost touch over the past couple years, but it was wonderful to get the Christmas picture and letter from you. Thank you so much!

I LOVE this quilt. The Cup O’ Joe theme is just my thing! I’d love to be able to do something like this someday. Beautiful work! I’m even more excited that I can buy your patterns on ebay when I get to that point!

So I’m completely quilting-illiterate… could you tell me, do you do everything by hand including the sewing??
