From Baltimore, MD and Points North:
Take I-95 south to I-495 north to I-66 west: Follow I-66 west to Virginia Exit 44 which is Route 234S (Bypass), approximately 12 miles:( Follow the Fairgrounds Complex Sign): Follow Route 234S to Business 234/Dumfries Rd. and move to the far left lane. Turn left: proceed approximately one mile to the Fair Grounds, entrance is on the left

From Richmond, VA and Points South and East:
Take I-95 north to Virginia Route 234 North, (Dumfries Road) Exit 152; follow Virginia Route 234 approximately 14 miles to Business Route 234/Dumfries Rd., turn right; proceed approximately one mile to the Fair Grounds, entrance is on the left.

From Frederick, MD and Points West:
Take I-270 South and then I-495 to Virginia, exit at I-66 West; follow I-66 West to Exit 44 which is Route 234S (Bypass), go approximately 12 miles:(Follow the Fairgrounds Complex Sign) and Route 234S to Business 234/Dumfries Rd. and move to the far left lane; Turn left: proceed approximately one mile to the Fair Grounds, entrance on the left.

Started this in August for a contest. Got the top done in a weekend, as the contest required, but the quilting took much, much longer. Didn’t help that I kept getting side-tracked to other projects.

I’ve donated the quilt to a charity event to be held this Saturday. It’ll be auctioned off to help raise money for a very sick little girl.

Here are some of the quilting details I put in. They were fun, but a bit time-consuming, especially those pinwheel blocks.

The funny thing is, I am almost done a new version of this quilt (as in the top is pieced, it’s mostly quilted, and one of the sides is bound). I call it the same thing, Cup O’ Joe to Sew.

I’m hoping to have time to finish it this weekend. Maybe not if the power goes out…

But amid all the craziness, I’ve finally gotten some of my quilt patterns up on our Ebay store! Using OSCommerce was a royal pain in the boohickey, so I’m piggybacking on my husband’s magazine store instead. Ever so much easier.

Right now only patterns are listed, but the kits are still available by request.

Well, the Punkin is resting quietly, so I’m going to take advantage of this time and get some more sewing done.
